Location
This position is commutable from Stevenage, Baldock, Letchworth Garden City, Shepreth and surrounding areas. Situated on the main East Coast Trainline from London through this opportunity is commutable from parts of London or may suit someone looking to relocate.

Duties
As Assistant Head you also lead on school examinations and take responsibility during the Head’s absence. Duties will include:- Support to develop the schools’ values and development plans.
- Maintaining the schools’ strategic objectives and goals.
- Ongoing monitoring of the quality improvement plans.
- Leading the staff team and monitoring their progress.
- Contributing to ongoing training and professional development of the team.
- Ensuring the welfare, conduct and progress of all the students.
- Working in partnership with parents, support staff and external agencies.
- Improve pupil achievement collaboratively.
- Leading and evaluating the effectiveness of the school curriculum.
- Monitoring student attainment and progression.

- Leadership Experience.
- Accredited training in special education eg PMLD/SLD/ASD needs.
- A recognised teacher training qualification (Cert Ed/PGCE/QTS or QTS/Teaching Diploma).
- Excellent IT Skills
- Experience in a leadership role and raising standards.
- Experience of motivating and managing staff teams.
