Your Role
As an Education Support Worker, you will be based in a specialist college setting, working under the guidance of Specialist Tutors. The college offers young adults (aged 19+) access to specialist education while providing therapy and behavioural support through a multidisciplinary team. This dynamic environment offers excellent facilities and the opportunity to engage with local charities and employers, enhancing students' learning experience.
Duties
Your main responsibilities will include:
- Creating an engaging and supportive learning environment in line with the college’s ethos.
- Assisting in planning and implementing individual and group educational programs under the direction of the Lead Tutor or Centre Manager.
- Supporting students in achieving their individual educational goals, contributing to the development of their overall learning plans.
- Maintaining accurate records for specific students and actively participating in their daily learning routines.
- Providing high standards of physical and emotional care, including personal care and healthcare tasks, as necessary.
- Facilitating student mobility, including assisting with moving furniture and equipment as required.
