This role focuses on providing care and support to young adults within a supported living service, aiding their transition into adulthood and fostering their independence through a person-centred approach.

Job Benefits
  • Salary: £11.72 - £12.78 per hour / £24,400 - £26,600 per year
  • Night Allowance: Additional £4K per annum
  • Joining Bonus: £1,500
  • Contract: Permanent, Full Time, 40 hours per week
  • Shift Pattern: 4-week rota, 8.45pm - 8.15am
  • Holiday Entitlement: 33 days including Bank Holidays
  • Qualifications: Opportunity to complete Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare.

Key Duties
  • Deliver exceptional levels of care to children and young adults.
  • Assist with bedtime routines, including washing and changing.
  • Promote healthy sleeping patterns.
  • Conduct regular checks throughout the night and address any issues.
  • Ensure medical needs are always met.
  • Maintain a safe, supportive, and calm environment.
  • Participate in physical intervention and personal care routines as required.
  • Perform light housekeeping duties during quiet periods.
  • Administer and record prescribed medications.
  • Communicate effectively and build trusting relationships to support young adults in becoming more autonomous.
Essential Criteria
Successful candidates are likely to demonstrate:
  • A willingness to learn and go the extra mile.
  • Experience in the care industry (experience with children with additional needs is advantageous).
  • Ability to encourage and support independent living skills.
  • Exceptional communication skills and patience.
  • Resilience and a positive attitude.
  • Creativity in meeting the unique needs of young adults or children.
  • Availability to work on a rota pattern, including every other weekend.

Successful applicants will undergo pre-employment safeguarding checks, including an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.
