Part-Time, SEN Teaching Assistant job vacancy Reading, Berkshire.

Location: This role is based in Reading, Berkshire, with easy access to surrounding towns and villages within a 30-minute drive, such as Henley-on-Thames, Sonning, Caversham, Emmer Green, Pangbourne, and Goring.

Duties:
  • Support teachers in daily classroom activities, seeking guidance as needed.
  • Collaborate with the class team to provide engaging educational experiences for children with Autism and severe/moderate learning difficulties.
  • Uphold safeguarding and promote student welfare in line with school policies.

Criteria:
  • Experience and knowledge of supporting SEN pupils.
  • Understanding of Safeguarding and Child Protection procedures.
  • Ability to manage various behaviour approaches, including challenging behaviours.
  • Prior experience in education is beneficial.
  • Experience in a multicultural, inclusive setting.
