Duties
You will have a passion for the outdoors and understand the fantastic skills you can achieve from outdoor activities.  You will develop an outdoor learning activities programme, some of which may be linked to the curriculum, this will involve collaborating with Teachers and colleagues.  You will support KS2 – KS5 Students delivering outdoor sessions, this includes planning, coordinating and delivering sessions. 
  • Planning an engaging outdoor curriculum for the right age group and abilities.
  • Include Horticulture, crop planning, growing, gardening and construction.
  • Identify cross curriculum outdoor activities and learning.
  • Deliver vocational qualifications and lead on Eco Schools Award.
  • Implementing outdoor activities that promote independence, creativity, and social interaction, as well as confidence building.
  • Assess and monitor students’ progress.
Essential Criteria
  •  Experience of working with children or young people with Autism and SEMH.
  • Experience of delivering provision through the EHCP.
  • Horticulture, gardening design experience.
  • Experience of organic and sustainable growing methods.
  • Ability to create learning sessions.
  • An excellent understanding of PSHE.
  • Previous Experience of working with Key Stage 2 – Stage 5 pupils.
  • Previous experience of working in an outdoor learning role.
