Permanent, Welfare & Pastoral Lead job vacancy close to the Wythenshawe area of Greater Manchester.  This position is also commutable from parts of Cheshire & Greater Manchester.

  • Previous experience of working with Children in and SEN Setting & Autism.
  • Understanding Safeguarding and child protection guidelines.
  • Experience and understanding of safeguarding children in an education setting.
  • Good communication skills both written & verbal.
  • A natural leader who can motivate pupils and the wider staff team.
  • Ability to deal with people, parents, and support workers sensitively.
Your Duties
As Welfare & Pastoral Lead you will play a vital role in supporting pupils to be resilient and confident learners by rewarding social development and planning support strategies to avoid any sensory triggers.  You will safeguard their welfare as well as supporting the students with any key issues which effect their schooling, attendance, engagement to ensure positive outcomes. 
You will ensure safety across the school and evaluate risk and higher end behaviours ensuring that interventions are reviewed and actioned.  You will naturally support the delivery of social skills by managing group programs e.g., Mind works, Yoga, Feel Good days that support wellbeing.
