Full Time, Permanent, Registered Children’s Home Manager close to the Kendal area of Cumbria on behalf of an inspirational children’s provider.

This job vacancy would suit any candidate living close to Kendal just off either the A6, A66, A590, A591 or M6. It may suit candidates living close to Penrith, Grange-over-Sands, Lancaster, Windermere, or other nearby areas.

Benefits
  • £40K - £50K per annum DOE + benefits.
  • Full-time, 39-hours per week.
  • Sleeps paid at £65 per sleep & on-call at £50 - £100.
The Provider
This a unique opportunity to work for a children’s home, with an excellent success rate.  You will help turn around the lives of children who have suffered abuse, neglect, sexual abuse, or extreme trauma in a therapeutic manner. This Residential Home is rated Good by OFSTED and support children aged under 12. As their Manager, you will be part of a multidisciplinary senior team and you will ensure that the highest standard of care and support is provided to the children at all times so they can thrive and move towards a positive future.

Our client is family-run and has over 20 years-experience and an exceptional proven track record in providing therapeutic residential care and allowing the children to grow emotionally and socially. They provide excellent education on site to help them with everyday life skills. They also organise fun activities such as trips out and sports to help them integrate in the community and keep them smiling. No child should be excluded, so they have created a warm and safe environment where all the children can feel a sense of belonging and be valued for who they are.

Criteria
  • Level 5 in Residential Childcare or Leadership & Management.
  • Minimum of 2-years management experience in a Children’s Residential setting.
  • Experience of OFSTED inspections & knowledge of regulations & compliance.
  • Excellent leadership skills & management skills.
  • Full driving licence.
